The real problem is the price of basic commodities could soar up dramatically due to production difficulties.

Step 1: Pick A Location

An ideal location for your garden is somewhere that has excellent access to water and sunshine.

Note: Aside from this consideration, convenience is also an essential factor in choosing a location. You should be able to reach your kitchen garden within ten minutes.

Step 2: Decide on the Type and Size

What type of plants will you be growing and how big the plots are will be determined by the location.

Step 3: Choose Your Plants

Pick crops that would be suitable to grow based on the soil type, growing season, and climate of your area.

Step 4: Get the Area Ready

Prepare the soil by shoveling and draining it off excess water. Afterward, you can apply compost and fertilizer.

Note: Contrary to common notion, soil type does not matter much in picking a location for your garden. You can improve poor soil quality by composting or building elevated beds.

Step 5: Start Planting

After planning the plot arrangement, plant your vegetable seedlings following proper spacing. This will vary according to plant type.

Step 6: Manage Your Kitchen Garden

Make sure you know when and how to put water, apply fertilizer, or add more soil to your crops. You can keep track of your garden’s progress with the aid of a simple chart.
